What is the registration fee?
$150 per adult/$75 per child under 13 covers most of the events and sessions during the reunion except the Eiland Red Party which is $65 per person. The registration fee includes souvenir gifts (t-shirt, bag etc.) and the commemorative program book. All registered guests will be identified by wrist band and name badge for meals and activities.
Registration forms can be mailed, or submitted online after January 2018. Early bird registration deadline is May 1, 2018* with entry into a drawing. Final registration deadline is June 1, 2018. On-site registration will not be available.
What about our host hotel?
Crown Reef Beach Resort and Waterpark provides the ultimate getaway in a one-of-a-kind setting. Escape to Crown Reef’s refreshed rooms featuring modern-day conveniences as well as high-end amenities. Crown Reef Resort features the Town Center Dining, Entertainment and Fun Zone and two four-story tall waterslides, silly sub and kiddie slide, a 575-foot lazy river as part of the brand new year-round Myrtle Beach Waterpark.
Crown Reed is about 2 miles away from the airport and a short distance from the Food Lion supermarket. Most rooms have full kitchens, are ocean front with coin-operated laundry facilities in each tower and can accommodate up to 8 adults.
Rooms must be booked by June 1, 2018, to secure the reunion rate. All reunion guests will receive a $10 game card to be used in the Fun Zone. Those parking will incur a $5 per day fee due at check-in. Pets are not allowed unless they are service animals. www.crownreef.com
What is the Eiland Heritage Gala?
On the Friday evening during our reunion weekend, we host a formal family dinner that includes a full menu, entertainment, a keynote speaker, awards ceremony, memorial service, and many other meaningful segments of the program. A formal family portrait is taken during the evening, so business attire is requested while black tie is encouraged. Vendors will have tables of merchandise available for purchase during the gala.
What happens during the memorial service?
At the gala, we honor those family members who have passed during the reunion in Memphis and upcoming reunion cycle. The memorial service is a solemn time of remembrance and reflection and culminates with the calling of names of the deceased. If you would like any family member included in this service, please email their full names to firstname.lastname@example.org with the title Memoriam.
How can I nominate someone for an award?
Any family member who has made major strides in their profession, achievement in education ministry politics athletics etc. are invited to submit a nomination form for the award program. Nomination forms can be submitted by email at email@example.com or by U.S. postal service. Nominations are only valid when submitted by a registered reunion member and must be received by May 1, 2018.
Who is the keynote speaker for this reunion cycle?
Our keynote speakers from past reunions have been family members who have excelled in their respective vocations and professions. This reunion cycle will feature multi-generational speakers with an emphasis on our youth. We are seeking some youth speakers, please nominate by sending their full name and other biographical information to firstname.lastname@example.org with a title of Youth Speaker. Nominations will only be accepted from adults and children who are registered for the reunion. Deadline for nomination is May 1, 2018.
Will there be a mass choir this reunion cycle?
Music is a key component to our family events and especially our worship experience. We will be forming a mass choir for the reunion weekend and encourage any that desire to sing to join. If you are a musician or liturgical dancer we desire your gift as well. We need choir members, worship leaders, dancers, and musicians for Friday evening and Sunday morning. Please send your information to email@example.com with the title “Mass Choir” so the reunion Minister of Music can send out the selected music and rehearsal schedule. There is no deadline for this; but it is encouraged to make contact early so adequate planning can take place.
What airlines fly into Myrtle Beach?
Our reunion host hotel is very close to the airport with shuttle service available and is serviced by several major airlines that offer nonstop flights to Myrtle Beach. Allegiant Airlines, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and Sun Country Airlines.
